"People with a Purpose" is a Sunday School Curriculum for Elementary Grades. Brenda Thomas is the author of this Bible Study for children. Each lesson includes a Bible Lesson/Story, a practical lesson for living today, at least one pencil activity, and an inexpensive craft idea. Also included are Teaching Helps that include suggested devotional or group activity and other helps in teaching the lesson.

These Sunday School lessons, for the elementary age classes, were designed for use in the Rodgers Baptist Church, a local, independent body, using the King James Version of the Bible. The lessons are set up for each student to have their own copy of each lesson, with the Teacher Helps easily removable. You may distribute the lessons each week for the child to take home or to put in a notebook to be kept in their classroom. You may also place all the lessons into a notebook for each child from the start. They would then turn to the proper lesson each week. This particular series, People with a Purpose, was written to be used with Billy Earl Watson's, People with a Purpose for adults (and teens). In this way the whole family can study the same lessons at the same time. They are formatted for a year's study, and divided into two parts. They are also designed to be started in January and go through December, with recognition of special days along the way. The lessons are based upon the fact that God has created every person for a purpose. The primary purpose is to honor and glorify God. The "fun" theme has to do with trains, and the "track" God has planned for us to follow. If we stay on the "tracks", we can go anywhere and do everything that pleases God. If we get off the "tracks", we will crash. |
